Accepting students from diverse backgrounds, the Miage course can be done either by initial education or apprenticeship.

Students who wish to integrate the Miage education can submit a file to competent authorities, in notifying the level for which they wish to apply (License 3, Master 1 or Master 2). After reviewing the file, candidates are selected on interview, especially in the way of an apprenticeship. All achievements of previous years are not required to apply to the Master. This flexibility, ensuring the mix of promotions and the diversity of thoughts along the course, is one of the pillars of the Miage education.

The classes of the Miage course are focused around a double expertise in computer science and management for the common studies, plus a specialty linked to the expertise of the institution. The Miage is spread over 20 universities nationally and 13 centers worldwide. Using this opening to the world, some universities finance a presentation to the Toeic (Test of English for International Communication) certification, which should affect graduation in a near future. The specialty in Master

At the beginning of Master, the student must choose a specialty among those proposed by its establishment, allowing him to build a profile that matches with the jobs of the sector. Although connected administratively to the university, the Miage by apprenticeship is a very specific education.
